It's hard teaching old folks new tricks
My mom asked me or rather implored me to teach her how to use the yahoo messenger.

Well, that's new....I think, for some non-techie exec like her.

I was quite tempted to congratulate her of some sort but was plagued with conscience anyway for the last minute because I felt that she'll take it as some sort of sarcasm.

So even if I was busy doing some light reading, (people who know me can attest that I don't want anyone bothering me whenever I'm reading) I was forced to stop and teach her the basics of YM.

Anyway, it's hard to explain my teaching experience with her. Maybe if you'll look at the picture below you'll see what I mean. Haha!

So now I'm being mean. Anyway, I must say that although she was being quite impatient and too inquisitive to handle, she still managed to learn a lot, and fast.

And although she literally disturbs me every now and then with my reading to ask for some questions and also to read her messages (because for the NTH time, she left her glasses again in her office), teaching her something new was quite worth it.

It was quite a change, I must say, from the usual mother-as-the-teacher type.

And I can help but to say that I'm proud of her.

Bravo Mom!

Haha! (^^,)
