When Darkness Prevails...
These past few days, I noticed that I am being consistently plagued with problems by God.

First, there were these big family problems. And a few weeks after, there came this also big financial problem. And as if that wasn't enough, God sent me this GIFT personally -a sickness, that I think will cost me 6 months of pain and suffering if confirmed.

It's not that I'm complaining. Because I certainly am not.

As a matter of fact, it only made my life more interesting.

And it also made me amused with Him.

I was thinking about these things the other day.

I was contemplating about everything while finding desperate answers to the many questions that keeps on pestering my humble head day and night.

"What went wrong?"

"Why did it happen?"

"Why did it all have to happen at the same time, especially to me?"

Things like that.

And as if to answer my queries, I remembered a proverbial saying in the bible.

It goes like this: "Gold and silver are tested by fire, and a person's heart is tested by the Lord" (Proverbs 17:3)

And then it suddenly occured to me that maybe, God was thinking that I am living a very dull life because I already have everything in this world so it left me with nothing to worry about.

No doubt about it because what he's thinking is true. (two thumbs up)

So I feel very honored because I learned that God's favorites are the only ones who are always burdened with problems and trials. And the reason why he's doing this is because he wants to purify our heart and soul more, to make it a more suitable place for him to live.

So it means that I'm one of His favorites! Wow.

Isn't it amazing?

So here's my little advice to you: Whenever you feel depressed because of your many problems, think of it the way that I did. Maybe it's God's way of telling you that you are special to him and the reason why he's doing it is because he wants you to be a more pleasing sight, so that your heart can be an ideal place for him to live forever. Wonderfu, isn't it?
